There were 98 girls and 120 boys competing from all over Nottinghamshire and we are so proud to have had such a high amount of runners representing Berry Hill. Each and every one of our runners did a fantastic job.
The girls team finished with 73 points in total and a finishing position of 5th.
The boys team finished with 35 points in total and a finishing position of 1st!
Well done to all of the children!
Thank you to you and all of your supporters for another super, sporting event!

Waste Week
Sat 09 Mar 2019This week has been Waste Week at Berry Hill. We started the week with an assembly about waste and other activities have included a 'Fact Finding' mission about plastic waste, a waste audit and finding out more about the school's new Waste Policy. We also launched this year's Big Battery Hunt - have you got old batteries at home that could be recycled? The children have each received a box to collect batteries and bring them in to school to be sent off for recycling. What else could you do at home to minimise your waste and recycle more? -
Swimming Gala
Fri 15 Feb 2019CHAMPIONS!
What a fantastic morning we had at The Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre for the Key Stage 2 Swimming Gala 2019.
Our children were a delight to spend the morning with. They showed such a wonderful, supportive team spirit that led us well on the way to success…we won the gala with 119 points!
Every single one of them gave their all and swam their hardest to earn as many points as they could for the team. It was brilliant to hear them cheering each other on as well as the encouraging cheers from the balcony which was full of lots of familiar faces…thank you for your support!
The team should be so proud of their winning medals and trophy. We are incredibly proud of all of the swimmers and thank them for representing our school so brilliantly. We’re already looking forward to next time…!

World Toilet Day
Sun 21 Oct 2018Did you know that Monday 19th November is World Toilet Day? This year, with your support, we are aiming to make a difference to poor communities across the world by ‘twinning our toilets’. 2.3 billion people currently don’t have somewhere safe to go to the toilet! On World Toilet Day we are holding a ‘Go Blue for the Loo Day’ and giving our children the option of wearing blue clothes to school in exchange for a small voluntary donation (suggested donation of £1 per child). If as a school we can raise £240 we can twin one of our toilet blocks to help children in desperate poverty to have access to a proper latrine, clean water and the information they need to be healthy. The more money we raise the more toilets we can twin and the more people we can help. This initiative will also support our children with their understanding of the world, human and physical geographical features, as well as contributing towards our eco efforts to obtain the prestigious Green Flag award. We thank you in advance for your continued support.
