Weekly Challenges
We have been working hard at Berry Hill to teach high quality PE sessions and promote health and fitness throughout school. Physical activity has been raised as a concern in the news and we want to try and keep our sport and PE going and continue to promote health and fitness.
Despite COVID restrictions, the children have still been receiving high quality PE sessions and accessing 2 sessions a week of PE which is fantastic.
However, we want to do more! We would like to set the children a challenge each week to complete at home and send a picture or video in. Along with the sports team, I will look through these and select a winner for Foundation/KS1 and another winner for KS2 for a prize!
Challenge 4 (30.11.20 - 4.12.20)
Challenge 4 is for the children to show how they have kept active for the week! It can be a walk, jog, cycle, dance etc!
Challenge 3 (23.11.20 - 27.11.20)
For challenge 3, children had to take part in a Joe Wicks session and tell us what their favourite part of the session was!
Challenge 1 (9.11.20 - 13.11.20)
The first challenge will be linked with the well-being week and Children in Need. They need to complete (in blue clothing to represent well-being) 100 or 50 star jumps, hold a balance for at least 5 seconds and run on the spot for 20 seconds as fast as they can!
We look forward to seeing them!
