Year 4 Short Tennis Wednesday 8th February
Samworth Church Academy provided another opportunity for local primary schools to attend a sporting event this afternoon. This was a Short Tennis session.
Six Year 4 children attended from Berry Hill and they really enjoyed it! All of the way through, they had huge smiles on their faces. They were excellent representatives for Berry Hill. They got involved, tried their best and were very polite! They also looked super smart in their Berry Hill colours!
Other schools attended the event and it was wonderful to see so many parents and carers supporting. All of the children seemed to really enjoy it and get involved which was fantastic to see. The games and activities were really fun and engaging and testing for the children. They provided opportunities to develop some very important skills that the children needed to play tennis.
At the end, the children had the opportunity to experience playing some tennis with a partner. At first, the audience were involved, dodging and catching balls, it was like the children were aiming for us! However, after some practice the children really got the hang of it and were getting some great rally’s going.
Another fantastic event held by Samworth Church Academy, so a huge thank you to them!
Berry Hill look forward to attending the next event, which is the Badminton event for the Year 5/6 on March 22nd.
