Summer Term Project - Discover
How Does The Past Influence Our Future?
During summer term we will be focussing on our big question, 'How does the past influence our future?' This will include a special visitor!
Within our project lesson we will learn which of the Roman tactics helped them to defeat their enemy. We will also look at the revolt of Boudica before comparing Roman soldiers to soldiers of today.
The children have already started asking questions like, 'What did the Romans eat?' and 'Which country did the Romans invade first?' We will, together, find the answers to these questions and many more along the way.
Spring Term Project - Create
Why Makes Art Great?
Over spring term we will be focussing on our create project, 'What Makes Art Great?' We will be looking at famous artist from around the world. As our project takes off we will be incorporating a range of wider curriculum subject objectives including art and DT. Mrs Maker will be supporting the children to create their own master pieces and we hope to complete with welcoming you to our classrooms to explore the childrens' artwork and celebrating their success.
Autumn Term
Explore Project
Over the Autumn term we will be focussing on our explore project, 'What makes the United Kingdom unique?' We will be looking at the countries that make up the UK and the cities within each country. As our project takes off, the children will take charge and research a country further. They will use their cross-curricular skills to create a portfolio to present to their peers. The research will aid the children to know more about famous landmarks, cultures and traditions. We are looking forward to seeing all of their finished work.
